The presence of an available, well-trained workforce is a must in any business's relocation or expansion plan. The Clinton labor shed, the area from which Clinton area businesses draw employees, has just such a workforce. To assure you of that claim, the City of Clinton commissioned a national workforce and relocation consulting firm to conduct an independent study of the local workforce. That consulting firm, The Pathfinders, has provided verification that companies relocating to or expanding in the Clinton Area will not have a staffing problem.

The Pathfinders' study shows that:

• Approximately 54,950 potential workers are available in the Clinton labor shed.
• That number includes 31,950 "underemployed" workers, those who have indicated an interest in changing jobs.
• Surveys of existing employers indicate that Clinton area workers rank high in productivity.
